Under Construction...
May 28, 2012 - began weaving upper right, with yarns shown here, then tore it out. To regular, black not bold enough. Will try black cotton twisted yarn with metallic thread from India.
Cotten metalic thread barely noticeable and tangled easily. Very tedious to work with. Abandoned this effort.
Drew the design on the graph paper, with swirls and curves -- very difficult to maintain but am sticking with this. Now I know why all the examples I have seen were geometric patterns.
Sept 2012 - Another problem I encountered with this piece was the pale color thread on light colored graph paper with pale grid. The shadow of the warp threads confuse with the grid lines, was hard to see Then I was seeing double while waiting for macular pucker* to heal so I put this this project aside. Am getting back to it again now (Jan 2014), because I really like it and know that when it is finished I will be pleased to have persevered! I notice the design took on the characteristics of the pucker!
